Iolites are so unique because while they on the surface look blue/purple, as you turn them they can appear to be grey. They can be compared to tanzanite’s in color, but are harder on the mohs scale.
The chic iolite cluster necklace has 7 square stones and 4 uniquely cut pear shape stones in a prong setting. All the stones are untreated and total ctw is 2.4. The sterling silver necklace has a 16 inch chain with a 2 in extender. The ring is about .9ct of untreated pear shaped stones, set in carved silver. The ring is a size 7 and the pear shaped stones are 6mm x 4mm each. Last item in the set, are the earrings. These dangle earrings are 1.5 inches long with 1.125 carats of deep purple/blue iolites bezel set in sterling silver. The exposed silver is finished with a wire brush look.
